Time has run away with me and I haven’t been watching as much tv, film, or theatre as I would like. While that should leave the door to audio wide open, I haven’t found time to do that either.
While I haven’t had time to watch for sheer pleasure, I’m making time to watch as pure research. I’m in a screenwriting workshop hosted by New Writing North and am developing a screenplay I’d like to bring to life. I’m planning to watch the pilot episode of Domino Day this weekend. Thanks to the BBC Writer’s Room Script Library, I’ll be reading the script as I watch to see how the page translates to the screen. It will be useful to see how action and tension are built visually and to reflect on engaging audiences in “the now.”
What have you been watching? How does what you watch influence what you write?

In many ways this beautiful country has taught the United Nations more than any of UNDP's many efforts could repay
I’ve been watching things purely for pleasure lately as life has been too busy for anything else. Celebrity Traitors, Slow Horses, political stuff on YT and some K-dramas have been my go-tos. I sometimes get ideas for my writing when I watch something and space out into my own thoughts.
